Maritime Legacy Days

Join the Coos Bay Downtown Association and the Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain, as she visits Coos Bay on 1st through 5th. The Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain will offer Vessel Tours from the dock, Evening Sails and Adventure Sails. Vessel Tours open the ships to the public for a suggested donation of $5 per person. Come experience the ships and meet their crew.

Sailing guests will embark on a two-hour sail experience. Adventure Sails and Evening Sails feature sailing as it was done for hundreds of years. Join in sea shanty, enjoy breathtaking views, and meet the modern day crew that travels the Pacific Ocean coastal waters.

A ticket is required for all passengers, including babies. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments are not provided, but guests are welcome to bring  your own (no glass containers, please). Accessibility is addressed on a case-by-case basis, so please talk to us ahead of time to be sure we can accommodate your needs.

Maritime Legacy Days

Dress like a Pirate for the Coos Bay Wine Walk! Friday April 6th from 5 – 7 PM. There will be a costume contest and shanty concert by the Doo Dad Shanty Boys at Old City Hall – Flappers Wine Bar at 7!

Enjoy a Sea Shanty Concert by the Doo Dad Shanty Boys at 7 Devils Brewery on April 12th from 7:30 to 8:30 PM.
*20% food and drink proceeds go to Coos Bay Boat Building Center and Historical Seaport.*

Live Music and Entertainment at So It Goes Coffee House by Finnavara and the Nor’Westers. April 13th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.

Ahoy Mateys! Discover all the bounty downtown Coos Bay has to offer during the Fifth Annual Treasure Hunt, part of Maritime Legacy Days. Merchants have supplied the booty that will be loaded into the chest of treasures. Find the first clue on the Coos Bay Boardwalk at 10:00am. Then, avast ye! Additional clues presented by Coos Bay Businesses will lead you to gift certificates, games, jewelry and more! Discover Coos Bay during the CBDA’s 2nd Annual Treasure Hunt, 10:00am to 2:00pm. Saturday, April 14th.
